It’s not too hard to find a good cigar lounge in Kuala Lumpur. Once you have connected with locals via one of the Facebook groups such as Cigars Malaysia or Trinidad Cigar Groupies, members are more than happy to share information about Kuala Lumpur’s cigar scene.

Trinidad Cigar Store at Seri Pacific Hotel
Located in Seri Pacific Hotel, our Trinidad branded cigar store offers a wide variety of Cuban & Non-Cuban cigars. Although there’s no lounge within the shop you can choose a cigar and then smoke it in the newly renovated Chereza Sports Bar within the hotel. Trinidad Cigar Store also offers cigar deliveries within Kuala Lumpur with a 1 box minimum order.
Nizza Lounge, Sofitel
The Nizza Lounge is an opulent cigar lounge adjacent to the Italian restaurant of the same name. Bright pastel colours and plush lounges make it the ideal escape.
Cherootz at Sunway Resort and Spa Hotel, Sunway Lagoon.
The Two massive elephants at the entrance to the hotel let you know you are in the right place. Walk through the front doors of this impressive hotel and ask for Cherootz. This cigar lounge is on the ground floor, with it’s own entrance just near the lobby bar and restaurant. It’s plush leather lounges are inviting, but bring a jacket as sometimes the air conditioning is a touch too cold.
Cigar Malaysia at Ansa Hotel
Cigar Malaysia are the newcomers to the cigar lounge scene in KL. Their lounge on the ground floor of the Ansa Hotel in Bukit Bintang is just a short stroll from Pavilion shopping mall. They’ve got a nice sized walk in humidor and serve non-alcoholic drinks in the lounge.
Cigars Lounge at Publika Shopping Mall.
Ray Ooi’s Cigars Lounge is a top spot to enjoy a cigar before or after shopping at Publika. You could even forget about shopping and spend an afternoon there enjoying a cigar. Wine and whisky are also available to purchase.
La Casa Del Habano, Mandarin Oriental
Stop in a La Casa Del Habano for everything Habanos. The L-shaped lounge is a cosy place to enjoy a cigar and is popular after dinner.
The Cabinet, Bangsar
This second-floor lounge is hidden away in Bangsar. The bar stocks plenty of whisky and has its own walk-in humidor. Besides a walk-in humidor attracting you to The Cabinet, live music on weekends also draws the crowd.
Three X Co., Bangsar Shopping Centre
Although not a cigar lounge, this bar in Bangsar Shopping Centre (BSC), hidden away behind a barber’s chair, is a great place for a cigar and cocktail. They regularly feature international bartenders mixing up some amazing concoctions.
PJ’s Bar and Grill, New World Hotel
PJ’s Bar and Grill on the rooftop of the New World Hotel in Petaling Jaya offers a stunning Easterly view of greater Kuala Lumpur from the sky deck. If the heat’s too much to handle, the cigar lounge offers an air-conditioned escape and a westerly view of golf courses and tree-covered hills. It’s also a great place to get some work done, with a six-seater board room table.
Embershoppe, The Curve Shopping Mall, Damansara
Open since 2007 at The Curve, Damansara, the Embershoppe is an ideal place to enjoy a cigar if you want to break from some of the formal lounges. It’s low-key, comfortable, and very easy -going. Tables and chairs outside the shop are unpretentious and makes it a great place to smoke and people watch.
It’s probably one of the busiest and best tobacco shops in Klang Valley with Mr. C.K Lim at the helm. Pop in and say hello and enjoy a cigar. Roberto P. Duran & Hamlet cigars are available at Embershoppe.
